The following poems are examples of a "Four and Twenty"; which is a poem with four lines, not exceeding twenty words AND forming a complete thought. I submitted them to a publication that had requested Four and Twenty poems:
Drowned Words
paper clumps float in my basement
ink smeared, fragmented indecipherable words
sitting on the steps
i mourn my drowned words
Charcoal Beauty
I saw a woman
her skin charcoal dark
she defied conventional blue-eyed Barbie beauty
tribal tradition offered a pastel Madonna.
